1) Agreement to terms

By accessing our website, booking an appointment, purchasing a product, or visiting our studio, you agree to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2) Services and eligibility

Our services are available to individuals who can lawfully enter into contracts. Minors may receive services only with the consent and presence (where required) of a parent or legal guardian and subject to service suitability.

3) Booking, deposits, and confirmations

Appointments can be requested online, by phone, or in person. A deposit may be required to secure certain services or time slots. We will confirm your booking once the deposit is received. Deposits are applied to the final bill at checkout. If a deposit is not received within the time specified in your booking confirmation, the appointment may be released.

4) Cancellations, rescheduling, and no-shows

We plan our team’s time around confirmed bookings. To cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in forfeiture of the deposit and/or a cancellation fee. Repeated no-shows may require prepayment for future bookings. If you are running late, we will do our best to accommodate you; however, appointments may be shortened to avoid delays or may need to be rescheduled with applicable fees.

5) Health disclosures and service suitability

Please inform us in advance of any medical conditions, allergies, sensitivities, medications, or recent procedures that may affect service suitability. We may decline or modify a service if we believe it is not appropriate or safe. Patch tests may be recommended or required for certain services. Follow all pre- and post-care instructions provided by our team.

6) Results and aftercare

Aesthetic outcomes vary based on individual factors. We do not guarantee identical results for every client. For best outcomes, follow the aftercare instructions we provide. If you have concerns after a service, contact us promptly so we can assist.

7) Payments, pricing, and promotions

Prices are listed in Canadian dollars unless stated otherwise and are subject to change without notice. Taxes apply as required by law. We accept the payment methods indicated at the time of booking or checkout. Promotions cannot be combined unless explicitly stated and may be subject to eligibility criteria and time limits.

8) Refunds and returns

Service fees are generally non-refundable once a service has been performed. If you are dissatisfied, please contact us within a reasonable period so we can review and, at our discretion, offer a service adjustment. For retail products, unopened and unused items in resalable condition may be returned or exchanged within 14 days with the original receipt, subject to health and hygiene regulations and supplier terms.

9) Packages, memberships, and gift cards

Prepaid packages or memberships are subject to the specific terms provided at purchase. Unless prohibited by law, gift cards are non-refundable and treated like cash; keep them secure. Where local law restricts expiry dates or fees, we will comply with those requirements.

10) Photography and content

With your consent, we may take before/after photos for your service record and, if you agree separately, for marketing and educational purposes. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time; this will not affect uses that have already occurred in printed materials or posts already published.

11) Conduct and studio policies

We aim to maintain a respectful, clean, and safe environment. We may refuse service to anyone engaging in abusive, threatening, or unsafe behavior. Please supervise children and personal belongings while on premises. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

12) Online accounts and website use

If you create an account on our website, you are responsible for maintaining its confidentiality and for all activity under your credentials. Do not misuse the site, attempt to interfere with its operation, or upload harmful code.

13) Intellectual property

All content on the website and our branded materials—including text, graphics, logos, photos, and designs—is owned by or licensed to Tarah Nik and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use consistent with these Terms.

14) Third-party services and links

Our website and booking or payment processes may link to or integrate with third-party platforms. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices. Your use of third-party services is governed by their terms and privacy policies.

15) Medical disclaimer

Our services, website, and communications are for cosmetic and informational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice. Consult a licensed healthcare professional regarding medical concerns.

16) Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tarah Nik and its owners, employees, and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the services will not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

17) Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tarah Nik from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, misuse of our services, or violation of law.

18) Force majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, power outages, labor disputes, or service interruptions affecting third-party platforms.

19) Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in British Columbia for disputes arising out of these Terms.

20) Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows when changes were made. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
